Dr. Doug Lewis, AuD, JD, PhD – Partnering Audiologist at Quest Audiology

Dr. Doug Lewis brings over three decades of experience to his role as a partnering audiologist with Quest Audiology. With a distinguished career that spans clinical audiology, healthcare systems management, law, and education, Dr. Lewis offers a uniquely comprehensive approach to hearing healthcare.

In addition to his work with Quest Audiology, Dr. Lewis is President and Owner of Excalibur Hearing and Audiology LLC and Excalibur Business Consultants, where he provides consulting services across healthcare, law, and business development. He also serves as President and CEO of Patriot Health Systems LLC and WellCare Health Systems LLC—integrated healthcare delivery organizations—and holds positions as General Counsel and Compliance Officer for several healthcare entities.

Clinically, Dr. Lewis serves as a consulting audiologist for multiple healthcare organizations and ENT practices. He is licensed in clinical audiology, law, insurance, securities analysis, and nursing home administration, reflecting his broad expertise in both patient care and healthcare operations.

A lifelong learner and passionate educator, Dr. Lewis holds an AuD, JD, PhD, three master’s degrees, two bachelor’s degrees, and an associate degree. He is an active faculty member at nine universities, teaching in areas such as law and ethics, healthcare management, anatomy, biopsychology, and business. He has also served as an instructor with the International Hearing Society’s ACA and AHAP programs for over 25 years.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Dr. Lewis is a dedicated musician and fitness enthusiast. He regularly performs with local rock, jazz, blues, and reggae bands, most recently as the founder and performer in his band, Paradygm Shyft.
